For the last 50 years I have been fortunate to work as a PGA professional, training, studying and enjoying everything that this great game can offer. From 1989 to 2004 I was the national coach to the Golfing Union of Ireland (GUI) and it was a privilege to work with so many talented young players who achieved great success both, as individuals and team players.
In my book I reveal my overall philosophy along with some of my many experiences and several specific ideas which I have applied during my career. I trust that you will find some useful information which may help you to improve and enjoy this wonderful game.

“I owe Howard Bennett everything. Not a day goes by that I don't play a round or hit a shot and not be reminded of him”
“Having kept all my notes that both Howard and I made as a 14 year old and upwards, these are the ones that I have continued to use during 21 years on tour”
“The groundwork was put down by Howard Bennett when he was our national coach”
Relatively few books written about golf deserve the status of a ‘must read’ for students of the game. Stories – Observation – Suggestions falls into this category for all who aspire to optimise their potential and applies to the club golfer as equally as it does to those at the pinnacle of the game.
